The application process

How do I forward my graduation papers? When you apply online you can attach your graduation papers as a pdf file or similar. If this is not possible you will be asked to bring a copy of these papers to the first interview. Learn more about how to apply>
Can I apply for MIHR positions in several countries at once? Yes, you can apply for MIHR positions in several countries at once. Learn more about how to apply>
If I want to apply for MIHR position in several countries at once, should I send separate applications for each country? The application process is not centralised: in case you wish to apply to several countries at once, applications should be submitted individually to each country. Learn More about how to apply>
If my application is rejected in one country, can I apply in another country during the same year? Yes, you may apply in a different country the same year. Learn More about how to apply>
Do I have to apply in the country of my citizenship/legal residence? No, applications are not restricted based on your citizenship/country of legal residence. However, if you get accepted to the programme outside your own country, job offer will be subject to you being able to obtain work permit within the period, specified in the employment contract. Can I apply for MIHR programme while I am still studying full-time? If you get accepted to MIHR programme, you will be expected to start full-time employment within A.P. Moller-Group latest August 1, 2008. In addition to that, you will be expected to spend considerable amount of time outside work-hours on preparing for theoretical modules. Thus, combining full-time studies with MIHR programme is not possible. Learn more about who can apply>
What level and type of education are you looking for? Recent graduates within the human, social and business sciences or alternatively, applicants with bachelor degrees in equivalent subjects, supplemented by maximum 4 years work experience. Learn more about who can apply>
I have just submitted my thesis and I am expecting my degree after August 2008, can I still apply for MIHR Programme? You can apply for MIHR programme as long as you are able to start full-time employment within A.P. Moller-Maersk Group latest August 1, 2008. I have two years of work experience since graduation. Can I apply? Yes. The programme is both for newly graduated candidates as well as candidates who have a couple of years experience. Learn more about who can apply>
I don't speak Danish, can I still apply for an MIHR position in Denmark? Yes, you can. Danish proficiency is not a requirement, since the programme is in English. Learn more about who can apply>
The Recruitment Process
Do you use any kind of test? The interview includes a logic assignment and a personal profile analysis with subsequent feedback Learn more about the recruitment process>
What do you place most importance on in hiring? Do you place much importance on grades when you hire new graduates? It is impossible to evaluate and applicant’s suitability on the basis of examination grades and a written application. We need to meet the individual behind the papers in order to make an adequate evaluation. Learn more about the recruitment process>
Do I have to wait until August 2008 to start working in the company even if I get accepted to the programme several months before that? The next MIHR batch starts in August 2008. However, if you get accepted to MIHR several months before the official start of the programme, you will be able to commence in your position immediately. Learn more about the recruitment process>
Can I get accepted to the programme in one country and transfer to another country later? During the two-year long programme MIHR participants will be able to rotate to another country, but only within their home Area: transfer to another country outside the home Area will not be possible. Currently only South East Asia Area is represented with more than one country (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam) on the MIHR programme. Learn more about the recruitment process>
If I get accepted to MIHR position outside my country of legal residence, will I be offered a contract on equal terms with the local employees in that country? All MIHR positions are local positions. How many job interviews can I expect to have? On average, each applicant will go through at least three job interviews. Learn more about the recruitment process>
If I apply for MIHR position outside my own country, where will the job interviews be held? The first interview will typically be held in A.P. Moller – Maersk local office in your country (or neighbouring country, in case APMM group does not have an office in your country). But the second and third interviews will be held in the country where you have applied for MIHR position. Learn more about the recruitment process>
The education programme & work environment
Will I be working together with my fellow students or am I employed in a real job? You will rotate between three different jobs during the 2-year programme. In all positions you will work with experienced colleagues, giving you hands-on experience within your work area. Learn more about the programme>
Is study time included in my working hours? You will be expected to study in your spare time, while the courses will take place primarily during working hours. Learn more about the programme>
I am not confident about my English. Are there any language training programmes? Yes, there are language-training programmes in English and other languages if required. All communication during the programme is conducted in English, however. Thus English on a certain level is required. Learn more about the programme>
Can you tell me about the study level? The tuition will be set to university and post-graduate level. Learn more about the programme>
Do I get salary during the programme and does it cost anything to participate in the programme? Your salary is market based. It thus depends on your experience and qualifications as well as the job you fulfil in the market you are in. The research training modules on the programme is free of charge - including travel cost and accommodation etc. at the conference facilities. Learn more about the programme>
Will I attend theoretical modules in my home base country? All theoretical modules will take place in Denmark. Learn more about the programme>

After completing the programme can I be sure of employment that matches my qualifications? After graduating from the programme you will be offered a challenging position as an Organisational management Consultant or HR partner in your home organisation.
