Challenging opportunities follow successful completion

Successful completion of the programme will ensure you a challenging, rewarding and responsible position in your home HR organisation. It will also be your foundation for becoming a future HR or business leader in the A. P. Moller - Maersk Group.

On graduating the programme you will be offered a challenging position as Organisational Management Consultant or HR partner in your home organisation. Alternatively, if you prefer, you are free to apply for any open position in our global HR organisation. No matter which option you choose, as a MIHR graduate you will be enrolled in a Group Advanced Development Plan. This means your career opportunities and personal challenges will be systematically addressed, discussed and unfolded in the right direction, both for you and the company.

Continued investment in your education and training
The A. P. Moller - Maersk Group will support further education, which is considered relevant for a present or future position in the company. The individual departments carry out course activities that concentrate on the specific work areas of the individual departments or companies.

Over the years the A. P. Moller - Maersk Group has implemented and renewed a comprehensive education system in order to meet the special demands of a large international organisation.

Some elements of the supplementary education are in the form of special company courses in our own education facilities. Other elements are employee participation in open courses that take place at leading international institutions of education.

Planning your future goals on the job
Appraisal interviews are carried out minimum once a year in order to know the future goals of the employees and evaluate individual performance and potential. In these interviews issues such as education and development are addressed.

Networking across our international business units
Our experience tells us mutual understanding among our employees increases motivation and problem-solving capabilities. As a participant you will interact and cooperate with the several departments and business units from around the world throughout the programme.

Through this process you will come to understand the overall business areas of the A. P. Moller - Maersk Group. You will also have a unique opportunity to build strong networks in other areas of the business – and the world.

I really value the fact that I can be a generalist within APM, knowing there will be stimulating and varied opportunities around the next corner to build and strengthen my career still further. I appreciate the ongoing investment that is made into my training & development and feel it is very important to be working for an organisation where I identify with the core values and company culture.
